GS1 has called on the support of technology partners to create the technical infrastructure for the CodeOnLine service. We would like to thank QSN Technology, SERES and RFID Center for their contributions. QSN: (following on from the CEBIG consortium) is firm of consultants specialising in the internet of things and in mobile services aimed at distributors and manufacturers of mass consumer products. QSN, with GS1 France, is behind the Allergen demonstrator and since 2006 has been implementing numerous pilots and applications for mobile services with Danone, L'Oréal and Carrefour, and for internet of things networks with the Nestlé group. Led by René Le Caignec, former head of marketing & innovation in the food processing industry, QSN has developed close technical partnerships with the RFID Center - Institut ICARE (Switzerland) and SERES (France), and has been chosen by GS1 France to design and host the CodeOnLine platform.

A subsidiary of Doc@post (La Poste group, 66%) and Bull (34%), Seres has been specialising in professional e-commerce for 20 years: EDI, WebEDI, e-invoicing for tax purposes, electronic catalogues, tele-procedures, development, hosting and application of special services.

A skills and innovation centre for new technologies used in the internet of things, RFID Center designs mobile self-identification applications using barcodes or electronic chips to create new mobile commerce services.
